Train the Trainer

photo-training-1-224x300Train-the-Trainer training module is offered in a hands-on approach that provides leaders with a “Rites of Passage” framework to socialize youth and adults.

The Rites of Passage process draws on the African tradition of using rituals, ceremonies and life skills content to guide young males through a holistic development through helping them discover their responsibility to build healthy communities.

Leaders are introduced to the principals and practices of Rites of Passage as a strategy for youth development and community building.

Our Train-the-Trainer modules are available for leaders who would like to start implementing the Dare To Be King curriculum in their community. Dare To Be King facilitators will work with community groups, schools, churches and other organizations to implement the curriculum.

The following are the Dare To Be King Train-the-Trainer seminar objectives:

  • Leaders will learn how to effectively facilitate the life skills sessions within the Dare To Be King curriculum;
  • Leaders will learn how to engage adolescent African American male participants aroundsensitive issues related to anger, decision making and impulse control;
  • Leaders will gain a historical understanding of Rites of Passage as a socialization continuum to introduce manhood and healthy lifestyles.

The Train-the-Trainer seminars are facilitated by David Miller architect of the Dare To Be King Curriculum and Andre Turner (Trainer).
